Heritage Concept Bottle

Johnson Distillers unveils the Heritage concept bottle, a creative concept that imagines whisky transformed as an artefact, preserved and showcased as if it were an exhibit in a museum.

After analysing the formal language of display cases in art galleries and sculptures on pedestals, we imagined an object that was at the same time an art work and a display case, a casing and a pedestal.

The sleek, minimal structure engages the containers of the two rare objects in an equal and simultaneous dialogue, as the two visually integrate to recall an hourglass. The object can be easily reinterpreted as a table version, by reducing the frame surrounding the object.

It is a metaphorical representation of the values of authenticity, evolution and exclusivity passing from the case to the whisky.

The case extends from the top and descends in the form of a truncated pyramid to join the other element below. This solemn part contains an artefact, which hangs from a special support and is positioned in the lower part in such a way as to visually connect with the element below.

The bottle, developed as a mirror image of the previous element, conveys a sense of audacity, innovation and solidity through its proportions and verticality. The stopper is characterized by a gold coating that allows the bo le to hang inside the case and to be extracted for its use. This element could be made of a precious metal and decorated with engraved references of the object.

The outer frame can be internally illuminated along its perimeter in order to project light on what it contains and create the effect of an art installation in its own right. Any technological part intended to preserve the egg can be placed in a special container at the base of this object, which becomes visually the base and a control panel.
